What FAHEMT is

FAHEMT is a marketplace. We connect students who want to learn Arabic with independent teachers who set their own rates and their own hours. We are not the teacher, and a teacher is not our employee.

We provide discovery, scheduling, the classroom, payments and support. The teaching itself is between you and your teacher.

Your account

You need an account to book a lesson. Keep your password to yourself, give us accurate information, and tell us if someone else gets into your account.

You must be 18 or older to hold an account. A parent or guardian may book lessons for a child on their own account.

Paying for lessons

You pay when you book. Lessons you have paid for do not expire and stay in your account until you use them.

FAHEMT takes a service fee from the lesson price. The teacher sees both the price and their share before they accept a booking.

Cancelling and rescheduling

You can reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 12 hours before a lesson. Inside 12 hours the lesson counts as taken.

If a teacher misses a lesson, it is returned to your balance in full.

How we expect people to behave

Be respectful in lessons and in messages. Harassment, hate speech and recording someone without their consent are not allowed and will end an account.

Keep lessons and payments on FAHEMT. Moving a booking off the platform removes every protection we offer both sides.

Changes to these terms

If we change something that affects you, we will email you before it takes effect.
